Cases And Skins For The aPad / iPed

I'm starting to hear a lot of questions about cases and skins for the tablet iPad clones like the aPad and the iPed.  People want to know if they're readily available, if they're cheap, and if you have to wait a long time for shipping for them.  Yes, they're easy to get ahold of.  Yes, they're cheap.  And no, you shouldn't have to wait to get them from overseas at this point.

The popularity of these knock off tablets means that a whole accessory industry is popping up along side it.  And, you really don't have to settle for boring black or fake leather cases.  Although the traditional cases are quite popular.  There's a lot of different styles, varieties and textures available.  You can see examples at http://tabletcloneaccessories.com/, but there are soft sleeves in a variety of colors.   There are the type that open like a book.  There are the skin silicone type that don't close but help you grip the tablet much better.

There are also the type that are made to stand up on a counter or desk so that you can read from the tablet without having to hold it.  (These are called kick stand models.) There are variations on these stand up models that are made more like a picture frame that stands up from the back rather than the bottom.  There's also cases that are made to look like little briefcases or purses.  (Yes, there are plenty of feminine colors and styles available.)

Generally speaking, the price range for the aPed / iPad skins and cases run anywhere from $5 to around $30 with the average being around $10.  The leather briefcase types are the most expensive and the soft pouches or skins tend to be the cheapest.
