Choosing the perfect case for your laptop, netbook or iPad

When choosing a case, it is vital that you know the width x height x depth of your laptop or netbook to ensure that it fits correctly. Don't forget, you need to know the dimensions of the whole laptop or netbook not just the screen. For example a laptop by that measures 15 x 12.5 x 3 inches and is ideal for laptops up to 14 inches in size. One This measuring 16.1 x 11.8 x 4.7 inches and is suitable for slightly larger laptops.

iPads are of course a standard size and will fit in any of the the specific iPad bags. There are 2 nice styles that we have found from Prime Hide,  an excellent choice. Both are made from quality, hard-wearing leather that will stand the test of time and, as well as having a padded section for your iPad, they have two further zipped sections, all tucked safely away under a magnetic flap. These Prime Hide iPad bags also have a detachable shoulder strap so you can wear the bag across the body or simply use it as a case, carrying it inside another bag.

If you are a frequent traveler, wheeled trolley bags are another great option. They are easy to pull, saving you from any muscle strains you might suffer when carrying a heavy shoulder bag and often have extra padding against knocks and bumps. The models we have found have a large padded section suitable for 17 inch screen laptops with  an actual removal padded laptop bag, a suitcase section for clothes (or heavy folders!), a detachable shoulder strap and a retractable handle for ease of movement.

There are also  laptop bags specially designed for women. Both Bramble and Brown and Hansson make luxury leather models that  look more like an elegant handbag than a laptop bag. The Bramble and Brown bag has a hidden padded section and all sorts of other pockets and pouches and comes with a matching zipped purse that can be attached to the inside of the bag.
