This mouse came with your iMac. My wife was very pleased that no cable, and I appreciate the aesthetics of it. The daily use, this is very nice, and some of the gestures are big, to move between the images, leaves, etc. Lack of touch wheel, there are some disadvantages though. There is no average Open link in new tab, and unfortunately, Steam has just released a Mac, and I learned how great this mouse is playing. subtle movement that you hand your character to seizure of inventory changes, which means you are constantly trying to remedy with the mouse. I'm finally holding a fragile device, because if it happened to glance over the surface that is knocking on the rear cover, which seem designed to self-expulsion. 

I'm afraid I'll have to use another game off, or wired mouse.

Fine for everyday use, horrible for gaming

This mouse came with my iMac. My wife was very pleased that it didn't have a cord, and I appreciate the aesthetics of this as well. For day to day use, it's very nice, and some of the gestures are great for moving between pictures, pages, etc. Missing a tactile wheel has some downsides though. There's no middle-click to open a link in a new tab, and sadly, Steam for the Mac was just released and I've become aware of how abysmal this mouse is for gaming. Subtle movements by you hand puts this your character in to an epileptic fit of inventory changes, which means you're constantly trying to correct for the mouse. You end up holding it like a fragile device, because if you're not accidentally glancing across the surface, you're knocking the battery cover off the back, which seems to be designed to self-eject. 

I'm afraid I'm going to have to take another gaming sabbatical or get a wired mouse.

The Magic Mouse is nearly perfect. Apple has really done their homework on this mouse and the proof is in the pudding. 

There are 4 aspects I look for in every mouse and here is how the Apple Magic Mouse fits the bill. 

1. Comfort - The mouse fits perfectly in the hand and has a smooth feel. There are no crazy angles that would cause unwanted pressure to the wrist or hand. 

2. Tracking Accuracy - The mouse is very accurate with no skipping or ghosting. The touch surface is very accurate and responds easily to each gesture that is thrown at it. I will say though, the touch surface is very sensitive so just bumping it slightly with the tip of a third finger in a two finger click will cause some issues. 

3. Quality/Durability - Quality seems to be very good. The mouse feels weighty and has substance. It does not feel cheaply made or weak. 

4. Ease of Use - The mouse is very easy to use and the gestures are similar to the gestures you would use on a MacBook, iPhone, or iPad. It does not take long to learn and master the gestures. 

If you are looking for a major upgrade to your input experience, spend the extra money to get the best.

Magic Mouse Has Its Moments...

I bought this mouse for my Mac to get away from the corded mouse that came with it. The functions are just great, but it is really hard on batteries (replacing them way too often), and when you turn it on, it takes longer than it should for the bluetooth to connect and for it to start working. Gosh, as I'm typing this, the batteries are again needing replacement, and it's only been a few days. These were freshly purchased "advanced lithium" Energizers...
