iPad's huge success has been quite a surprise for many of the tech and trend watchers around the world. When Apple released the initial specs, lack of camera and USB ports was considered as a deal breaker for many. Even Apple fans were not afraid to share their initial thoughts and how disappointed they were by no camera and USB options.

But then it all changed very soon. Apple sold more than 300,000 iPad 3G units over the first weekend. This was one of the most successful launches of any gadget ever, including Apple's products. Even though we think that  iPad should have had an inbuilt camera, Apple provided an answer by offering camera connection kit.

So we also got our hands on the shiny new iPad and were definitely impressed by hardware quality and off course the user interface on this thing is just great. As a heavy iPhone user, trying out our favorite apps on iPad was also quite exciting as the bigger screen definitely is easier on the eyes. Gaming was more fun and somehow YouTube videos looked more crispier.

But we also realized on our first week of usage that iPad definitely needs to protected against accidental drops and other mishaps. There is nothing worse than standing in line for hours to get something and then losing it to a coffee spill because you were lazy enough to protect your investment with a simple cover.

So we embarked on the hunt for a perfect iPad cover that would allow us to access all the functionality and also keep the iPad tablet looking great. This actually led to buying many different covers and cases for iPad and trying them out and reviewing them.
