1. Stress Check

You need to make sure to continually monitor your stress levels. Stress does a lot of bad things to your body, including weight gain!

People who are stressed are not aware of this, but they often tend to emotionally overeat. To compound on the problem, the food they eat consists of "comfort" foods which are usually extremely high in carbs and fat.

The key is to keep your stress in check. If you feel like everything is getting out of control, sit down and plug in your iPod. Take a few minutes to listen to one of your favourite upbeat songs.

If you really fear that you almost eat "unconsciously", then start a food diary. Record the time of day of each meal and exactly what you eat.

2. Wake Up Earlier

Waking up about 45-60 minutes earlier than you are used to can be annoying, but what if it would help you lose weight quickly? It does!

Waking up earlier actually gives your metabolism a strong boost for the day. It is almost like giving it an extra "shock". I learned that the optimal time to wake up is 5AM. You probably think I am crazy. Once you get used to it, you will actually be much more alert during the day. I also noticed that I spend an average of 90 minutes less on sleep at night.

Assuming you have a quality diet program, these two methods will help you lose pounds fast. Really fast.
