Nokia N800 Internet Tablet Review

Nokia officially unveiled the N800 Internet Tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on January 8th 2007.

As anticipated, the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet bears a high resemblance to the 770. Key changes include addition of a VGA-resolution web cam, two full-size SD card slots, instead of a single RS-MMC slot, built in stereo speakers, scroll rocker for web page scrolling, redesigned top-mounted buttons, 5-way cursor pad and built-in stand. The N800's processor speed has also been upgraded.

The N800 measures 5.7 x 3.0 x 0.5 inches and weighs 7.3 ounces, The 4.1-inch touchscreen is usable with a finger, but easier with the stylus that slides out from the back of the device and the display retains the much-praised 800 x 480 pixels resolution of the earlier model.

The front of the N800 is filled with an exceptionally clear screen making the N800 brighter than similar devices.

The N800 heavily emphasizes Internet connectivity. It comes with Opera 8 as its web browser and has support for Flash 7. It includes email and instant messaging applications, plus the video chatting functionality as well as support for Internet radio stations and station guides.

The media capabilities, battery life and relatively low price makes The Nokia N800 a good fit to people who need a small tablet.
